It’s roughly an 8-hour trek from Santa Cruz to Las Vegas. This noteworthy distance separates the casual music fans from the true die-hard appreciators. Jennae Bennett, a second-year Art student at UCSC, attended the Vegoose Festival last year with 10 of her friends.
"Hell yeah it was way worth the long drive," Bennett said. "There are a bunch of different bands out there, not just jam bands, so it makes for an interesting mixed salad of people".
The second annual Vegoose Festival commences this weekend in the city of sin and blinking lights. Headliners like Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Mars Volta, Jurassic 5, The Killers, Fiona Apple, Medeski, Martin and Wood, The Roots, Damien Marley, and many more, ensure that this will be an eclectic and colorful weekend.
