I was pleased to see your article about the Stanton case in Florida. However, I think Mr. Rotkin may have incorrectly analyzed the law when he notes “Florida and the town of Largo do not currently have any discrimination laws based on gender identity. Because of this, Rotkin believes there isn’t much ground for a lawsuit.” Largo has a policy forbidding discrimination on the basis of gender identity, and Florida has disability and sex discrimination laws that may be interpreted as forbidding discrimination based on transgender identity. You can see a full discussion of the legal issues at my blog http://jweissdiary.blogspot.com
