Women’s soccer kicks off against Chapman at a home game, Oct. 17 at 3 p.m. Senior forward Annick Lamb has 53 career goals and hopes to break the school record of 54 during the league game. Cal Lutheran will challenge the Slugs the following Sunday, Oct. 19 at home at 2 p.m. The Slugs lost to Claremont College 2-4 last Friday, but are entering the Oct.17 game coming off a 1-0 win against CSU Monterey last Sunday. They hold an overall record of 7-5-1 and a league record of 6-3-1 in Division III.
Men’s soccer had a home field advantage when they took on La Sierra last Sunday, coming out on top with 1-0 league win. The team traveled to Hayward on Oct. 15 and took a 3-2 win against CSU East Bay. This Saturday, Oct. 18, the Slugs travel to Orange for a league game. As of Oct.15, the men’s soccer team held a record of 7-5-2 overall and a league record 6-3-2 in DIII.
Men’s water polo climbed out of the pool last Sunday afternoon after another loss on their record. Santa Clara defeated the Slugs 17-3 in a league match. The Slugs play at home against Stanford on Sunday, Oct. 19 at high noon. Men’s water polo holds an overall record of 6-12 with a league record of 0-4 in the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA).
Women’s volleyball served up a double header last Saturday against Mount St. Joseph and Cal Lutheran. The Slugs took Mount St. Joseph 3-2 but lost their league match against Cal Lutheran 0-3. On Oct. 17, they travel to Hayward to play CSU East Bay in a league match. Their record going into Friday’s game is 19-7 overall and 12-6 in DIII.
