Men’s soccer hit the road last Saturday, Oct. 18 and suffered a 3-0 loss to Orange. Monday, Oct. 20, the team had a repeat against University of Redlands losing 3-0 again. Both these games were league matches, making the Slugs’ Division III record 7-5-2 and their overall record 7-7-2. Men’s soccer plays at home Saturday, Nov. 1 against the Academy of Art at 2 p.m.
Men’s water polo continues their losing streak after losing to Stanford 2-14 at a home match last Sunday, Oct. 19. The Slugs hold a league record of 0-5 in the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) and an overall record of 6-13. The team travels to UC Berkeley on Sunday, Oct. 26.
Women’s soccer added two league wins to its record after defeating Chapman 2-1 in double overtime and taking Cal Lutheran with a 2-0 victory. During the game against Cal Lutheran, senior forward Annick Lamb set a new school record for most career goals scored: 55. The Slugs hold a league record of 8-3-1 in DIII and an overall record of 9-5-1. Next Saturday, Oct. 25, they travel to Atherton to kick off against Menlo College.
Women’s volleyball traveled to Hayward last Friday, Oct. 17, and lost against CSU East Bay 0-3 in a league match. The Slugs hosted a match against Mills College the following Tuesday, Oct. 21, taking home a 3-0 win. They hold a league record of 12-7 in DIII and an overall record of 20-8. Next Wednesday, Oct. 29, they invite Bethany to UCSC for a 7 p.m. game.
