The UC Board of Regents passed a 15 percent student fee hike that goes into effect January 2010 and an additional 15 percent fee increase that takes effect in Fall 2010. The total 32.5 percent fee hike raises student fees to an unprecedented $10,302 per year.
The measure passed with the one descenting vote coming from Student Regent Jesse Bernal.
Students in UCLA continue the occupation of Campbell Hall on the UCLA campus. UC Santa Cruz students continue their occupation of the Kresge Town Hall.
