Student Fee Referendums are questions placed on the ballot to add or amend a compulsory campus-based student fee. These fees are typically assessed to support a program or special campus project. In order for a Campus Fee Referendum to pass, a minimum of 25% of the eligible voting populace that would be affected by the results of the Referendum must cast a vote for the Referendum. Votes to abstain do not count towards this requirement. From that voting pool, a simple majority (50%+1) is required to pass the Referendum.
