Natural Bridges State Beach is always a great place to hang out on the beach and take in the incredible view. This time though I arrived early in the morning to catch the low tide and explore any tide pools that may have been exposed. While there were a few pools where life flourished, more impressive were the various species of birds with which I shared the otherwise empty landscape. Sunsets may get all the glory, but sunrise is my new favorite time to visit the beach.
